Updated picture of Madeline!
Here's our timeline for Madeline:
- February 2006 - XiaoXian found us! Petition for adoption sent.
- March 2006 - Updated photo received. XiaoXian is 19 months old.
Start homestudy and paperchase - April 2006 - finish homestudy and paperchase
- May 1, 2006 - turn in dossier documents to USAA.
Should also have pre-approval from China by now - June 2006 - DTC
- September 8th, 2006 (or later) - Travel
We can't travel before our 1 year anniversary of Gwen's adoption but our dossier can go to China before that date. It takes 3 to 4 months for travel authorization after DTC.
Our agency said they'd translate letters to/from the foster parents. We'll also send pictures and gifts to help get her familiar with her far away forever family. I didn't realize how much there is to do! I guess I better get busy, huh! :)

Too cool! How exciting to see that she is getting even cuter! She looks so happy. :)
She has great hair, Donna! :-) How difficult to have these CUTE pictures so far in advance of getting her.... and yet, how wonderful to have all the pictures! How often will you get new ones?

Wow this is really so very neat. I am happy I found this bLOG so I can follow this adoption. So very neat.
I have added a photo to my site with the beautiful baby girl with the size 13 shoes LOL. She put her mark on the world Thurs and it is the cutest little picture. Come to see it. We have the adoption decree done now, she has a birth certificate now and Tues the paperwork should be in INS's hands. Then they wait for a phone call to go to Juares, and bring her home to AZ.
