Party!

A bunch of us who've adopted (or are adopting) from China get together every month or so. This time, we kicked things up a notch and Mary-Mia and I hosted a Chocolate Fountain party! We invited everyone we could think of and, to our surprise and delight, just about everyone came!
While we set stuff up, Mary-Mia's husband, Rod (above) kept Gwen entertained with some piano lessons.

I don't have a picture of them, but we were also really excited to see K of the Wunchmachen blog and finally meet her husband, F.

I would love to name everyone who came but I know I'd leave someone out so I'll just leave it as this.

Above, is Kat and Colin. It was fun to see them again and we can hardly wait until they have their daughter! I hope the time flies!
There was special reason to celebrate as our dear friend, Stacey, finally got Ryleigh's referral.
.

Ryleigh will be turning 1 in a couple of days so Andrew baked a cake (from scratch!) and we all sang Happy Birthday. Stacey cried but we're not sure if it was our singing or the sentiment .

.........
Isn't Ryleigh just the cutest? Look at that tongue sticking out!

..........
(If you're in the SF Bay Area and you want to be included in future get-togethers, please email me or Mary-Mia. Our email address is in our profile on our respective blogs.)

This party was super easy since we did it as a potluck. The food was fabulous and we got to meet lots of new faces. Including some new baby faces! On the left is little Kelly (Lisa's baby girl) and there's Gwenny below her and "Dragonfly Diary" Helen sitting on her mommy's lap.

Above, Emma enjoys something yummy dipped in chocolate!

Hooray! It's wasn't exactly our goal to remain "stealth." In fact, you can see my right knee in the Kelly, Gwen, Helen photo. - kristin

Oh how fun to get together and meet so many blogging buddies! I really enjoyed your photos.

We are going to a monthly get together later this month of our local FCC's waiting parents group. They are having a couple who recently returned with their daughter as a guest speaker. I'm so looking forward to seeing their little one and hearing about their experience.
