Please don't tell our Social Worker...

Maybe you've noticed the bruises on dear little Gwen's forehead? She had one on Gotcha day but, just when one heals, she gets another. First day we had her, she did a swan dive off the bed in the hotel room. We almost expected someone to knock on our door and revoke our adoption certificate!

Since then, she's managed to smack into something just about every single day! She ran across the family room and tripped over her own foot and hit her forehead on the book shelf. The next day, she did the same thing but hit her cheek on the step. Then she climbed out of her crib in the middle of the night and landed on her face (another bruise just under her eye).

Then, when we were at the park, we dropped her again (see below).

Okay, we didn't really drop her -- this is a slide. And she wasn't even hurt a bit. Believe it or not, she loved this slide!

She's an active 15 month old who just recently found her feet and boy does she like to use them! She's fearless and will run full steam across a room without ever looking down to see what she might be plowing over. Our cats have learned to get out of her way -- quick!

She keeps us on our toes constantly but she's such a joy! She hardly ever cries and seems to constantly wear a smile. But maybe she should be wearing some bubble wrap too!

Donna,

Don't worry- they bounce!!! Tenley took a header off the bed in China not once, but twice!!! Since we've been home she's had 2 black eyes and countless minor dings. I refuse to be concerned unlesll there's a pool of blood, a visible bone, or no breathing...their childhood portratis may not look the way we'd like, but aren't we lucky to have such happy, active, adventuresome daughters???!!!
