My son, Michael
This is my son, Michael. He's going to be 18 years old in just a couple of days! I can't begin to tell you how amazing that is to me since I can remember so well what it felt like to have him kick around inside of me. I remember holding his hands and watching his first awkward steps. I remember seeing him off to Kindergarten and then Junior High. I remember hearing him play his guitar so perfectly when he didn't know I was listening. I loved him through his grumpy stage and bit my lip and tried not to complain too much when he spent three years hiding behind a curtain of hair that fell straight over his beautiful face. I knew the day would come that he'd feel good about showing the world who he is. Today's that day.
This is my my son, Michael!

Oh Donna, your post brought tears to my eyes. What a gorgeous young man Michael is!! You must be so proud!!!
Your son is such a handsome young man. Oh my I can't believe how time is already going by that fast with Natalie... I miss her kicking it was one of my favorite things. Especially after going though years of IF I never in my life thought I would get to experience that... I thank God everyday for my miracle...

Aha, the hair is gone! You know, if the worst you had to worry about was hair covering half his face, it all turned out pretty good.
So cool -- please tell Michael Happy Birthday for me!!!
Wow, time does go by so fast, doesn't it? I can remember my parents saying you just blink and 10 years has passed and I thought they were crazy. Now I SO get where they were coming from.
Michael is definitely a handsome guy. It's amazing how quickly they grow... trite but oh, so true. Happy Birthday, Michael!
From grumpy teen to handsome young man. Wow!
I agree with everyone else -- he is SOooooo handsome. One thing is for sure, he doesn't need to hide that gorgeous face!!!!
You must be very proud! He is a handsome guy. He's going to have the girls all over him at college! I mean that in the most innocent way... ;-)
Oh this is so sweet. There is somthing so special about a son, isn't there? I'm going through the first school stuff now with Jaden.
Your son is so handsome.
Hello, Michael!
Donna, I remember that I chatted with you once and you said that Michael was by your side and that he said hello. It must have been six years ago or something. He was twelve at that time, and I actually never adapted the image I had of him. But look at him now!
Congratulations.
Sjoukje
PS This is such a sweet post of you, Donna! It's not only about Michael but also about you.
What a handsome young man! Thanks for posting this photo, and your sweet note.
That's a great photo of Michael. Is he happy with his hair like that? It looks great!
Oh my gosh. I have a hard enough time with my babies being 4 and 6. I can't imagine when my sons get older. Amy
