Reunion party

On Sunday night, we had a reunion party with all the families that had left Guangzhou to adopt from different provinces or cities. By this point, we'd all lost any pretensions of wanting to immerse ourselves solely in local cuisine, and everyone had either given in earlier to the lure of McDonalds and Pizza Hut across the street, or was drooling at the sight of the pizza dinner at the reunion party.

The room was decorated with cards and pictures of earlier USAA adoptions. It was pretty interesting to scan these and see some families that had returned for a second (or third, or fourth) adoption, and were in the room with us.

The day of the party, we had an anniversary in the group and a birthday: Donna's. Here, she's cutting the cake, with Gwen. You can also see more cards and pictures all along the back wall.
